Blast from the past…
Good Morning…
This is me drinking warm beer at Heathrow Airport. The band was on an earlier flight than I. So I killed time by drinking in the construction area of Terminal 4. I am not sure why these posts never went up, but they didn’t. So since I am doing nothing exciting right now, really hanging out at Diamond Lil’s playing 4/8 limit poker is nothing to blog about, I figured these might be interesting for the time being. The last few month of the year are going to have to have a lot of fun times if I am going to meet my goal of the amount of posts on this fucking thing this year.
These guys were our bus drivers. We had two because they like to keep people safe over there on the other side of the pond. It was funny hanging out with these two guys, man bus drivers are the same anywhere in the world. The best part of being in Belgium is if you want to pee in public you can just blame it on the bad example.
After Pukkelpop it was off to the ferry from Calis to Dover. If we had missed our boat I was going to look around for the poker room that Derek likes in Calis, but we were able to go straight on. Since it was 4:30 in the morning, a lot of people decided to sleep thru the ferry ride. You have to decide, because once the ferry leaves the dock, you are either locked in the bus, or locked on deck. I chose to go on deck, because I love a full english breakfast.
The white cliffs of Dover, thru a dirty bus windsheild as we sped past. Looks great huh.
Like I was saying earlier, the band had an earlier flight, so I was dropped off at 7am in front of Music Bank, with the gear, to wait until our storage unit opened up at 9am. Just me, this pile of gear, and Doyle Brunson’s Super System.
Oh but the day was not wasted…
Look kids…
The cab went right by Big Ben.
