Post tour recap.
Good Morning…
The last show was over, it was time for the celebration to begin. It has been a great tour. All over the country, and 1 show in Canada. I really have nothing to complain about. I woke up to an amazing view as we pulled into New Orleans.
It is one of my favorite drives because it is so unlike anything else in the country. Miles and miles of marsh.
The show, was held at City Park in New Orleans which is home to the Sugar Bowl Athletic Compound and Tad Gormley Stadium.
Heather and I in an old school picture duel.
Chopper was eating a 1 meter beef stick, that tasted kind of like fish. It was strange. It gave him super energy though.
Chopper wanted to hop up on the goal post. It went so well at the Little Rock PF Changs.
It didn’t work out to well.
“Stop shrinking!”
He finally made it. Look at the size of that beef stick.
Behind the stadium was a elf village I think. Not sure what the hell was going on. They had a little public transport system set up and everything.
In the morning I flew to LA and finally got to eat in the building in the middle of the airport that they always show in movies to let you know you are at LAX. The elevator plays surf style space music while you go up.
It wasn’t as “space” themed as I would have liked, but then again, I have always wanted to live in a miniature golf course.
The food wasn’t bad, far from the worst in the airport, but I bet the most expensive. That is a 22 dollar steak sandwich and I washed it down with a 7 dollar beer.
But I degress this isn’t much of a recap really. Well here are photos that are from days when enough didn’t happen for a full blog or something. Maybe I was just lazy. Maybe I was just in a food coma, like when I ate this. It is panchetta wrapped in canadian bacon wrapped in hickory smoked bacon. Really. ONLY BACON. IT RULED. Thanks Lucky’s in Houston.
There were some small strange clubs on this tour. Which was fun and the shows were usually great in these places. I, however, did not always have somewhere great to work. Carrboro, NC I just set up against a wall in the club.
Our bus was longer and taller than the venue, so I set up in the trailer in Ft Worth, TX.
Oh and dad, don’t worry, I got a lock installed in my case, just for you.
Keep your head in the game, see you next quarter.
