C-P-T, L-B-C, yeah we hookin back up
Good Morning…
Last night after College Fest 2009, and I am not making a crack at the college show we played, but actually telling you the name that they had come up with for their spring concert, seriously, you can name it anything, I mean sure, The Chicken Jam is a horrible name, but at least they reached for the stars, and tried, we went to PF Changs. We were all hungry and tired, and we started with the dessert sampler.
Then in the morning people went home, but I stayed in Long Beach. I haven’t had a day off Long Beach before, and although I had a lot of work todo, I went for a walk around town.
I have always wanted to live in a round building. And a round building that is both downtown and also has a view of cruise ships sounds like my kind of joint.
At night they light this up. On tour with The Cleavers Nate’s Aunt told us that Hitler loved this kind of thing. Just because he did, doesn’t mean I don’t too. The night photos on the walk back didn’t turn out so well, so here it is during the day.
A festival construction wall and remnants of the old building facade. Downtown Long Beach is brimming with hustle and bustle.
And the best fucking part of Downtown Long Beach is every year, HOLY SHIT, RACE CARS.
Grandstands to watch the race cars.
And even though we all ate at the Changster’s last night, I decided to have a nice relaxing solo dinner. My last chance to get my head right before the tour started.
I love that it always starts with this sauce, and no matter how you tell them to make it, it pretty much tastes the same.
REFRESHING.
There is something so fun about taking this…
And just grabbing it with your hands.
I love the Dahli chicken, it is spicy and has well cooked potatoes. I asked for more potato, less chicken but it came pretty much with normal portions.
The spinach and garlic was tasty, a lot better than the night before. Yes, I order exactly the same thing two nights in a row.
I have honestly never been to Cold Stone Creamery, but figured a walk around Long Beach after dusk with an ice cream would be perfect.
Chocolate ice cream, fudge sauce and a peanut butter cup. Oh lord it was delicious.
I got it in a cup, but should have gone for cone. The cup was a royal pain to eat with a bag of left-overs and my camera. I left the strap for my camera at home, and have not bought a new one yet, I am not sure what I am waiting for.
