Long Beach Poker Party

Good Morning…

Day 1 of the tour was just a travel day down to beautiful Long Beach, California.  I have spent more time in Long Beach this past year, than the first 35 years of my life.  Most of them at the Courtyard Marriott.  Not a bad view.

Like the hotel, the bath products aren’t too fancy, but get the job done.

I asked to be moved to a room big enough to hold an important meeting in-room on my first night at the hotel.  I would need a table and about 8 chairs.  Not a problem said the friendly staff at the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Long Beach.  If you stay there, please let them know I sent you.

Ladies and Gentlemen, allow me to introduce my co-host for this evening… Lalo Medina.

Lalo and Brett brought a spread.  I think we were around 50 tacos deep.

The action early on, 10 people played in the first Kerbrat Kasino Hotel Room Poker Invitational.

Getting close to the end.  First and second place finishers are watching the competition knock each other out.

Lalo slept over after the poker game.  The fold-out couch was moved for the poker table, so it didn’t really fold out all the way.  His feet were about 8 inches over his head, best night sleep he has ever had, so maybe having no blood in your feet and all the blood in your head is what it is about.

This is what I like to call a Long Shoreman’s breakfast.  Lalo said it is usually called a Lumberjack, but when the hell has he been in the woods.  Some well toasted sourdough.

Three of maybe the fluffiest pancakes I have ever had.

Enough syrup to drown a horse.

Three eggs over-easy, three sausages, and three salt (like at the edge of too salty) strips of well cooked bacon.
