Here… on Temptation Island
Welcome to Diamond Gabe’s Casino and Resort.
It is a lot more casino, and a lot less resort. Actually it is barely a casino at all.
It is also where I often set up my production office.
I am very excited about this…
I was tired of plugging 30 cables in every day when I set up my production office.
So I made a little box with everything in it already.
In the bottom left hand corner is a 7 port USB hub. Along the top is a power strip, with 3 additional plugs. In the lower right corner is a 320g harddrive, which is running hourly backups of my computer. It allowed me to reinstall almost everything on my new computer in about 10 minutes, which was a real life saver. Having a way to alway have a harddrive going was one of the other big reasons i wanted to make this thing.
The top charger is for my flashlight, and the one below that is for my camera.
Two mini USB cables allow me to charge and attach several peripherals. And there is also an ipod cable for charging and syncing.
And then the power cable to my computer rules parrellel with the USB cable that links the whole system together. My printer plugs into the box as well, so if I have to grab my computer to do something, the only two cables I have to remove are these two.
It wasn’t Sebastien’s birthday just yet, but it was his Super Steak Supper. We made reservations online for 11pm at an amazing looking steak house, but when we got there they informed us they closed at 10pm. So we ended up at M Tavern. It was pretty good and it was very fun. These were mushrooms and butter, covered and cheese and baked. YES, THANK YOU.
Nathan ordered the carrot dog. Two steamed and marinated carrots, served on a bun with saurakraut. It was very tasty, and it was FUN.
I had a steak with mashed potatoes. Steak was good, but covered in a sweet steak sauce, after scraping that off, I enjoyed it.
So while it wasn’t what we tried to do originally, it was still a nice night.
