On a Washington DC Beltway, around and around we go…
Good Morning…
DCFC is doing a pretty awesome thing and trying to reduce the amount of water bottles and disposable cups that are used on tour, so I got a beverage container that matches my tie. Aveiro is into the idea too.
Today was in DC. The Daughters of the Revolution Constitution Hall is pretty nice. Did this one with Dann on the old ‘Mouse tour.
It is funny to see our ragged gear lined up in such beautiful hallways.
Chopper has really not stopped working for a minute on this tour.
I however took break to head over to the white house for about 20 minutes.
The office building.
I want to have an office here. Not sure what I have to do to get there.
I am surprised that there is just this one protest going on across the street from the white house. I am also amazed that I have never seen anything about it on the news. I mean, if you can spend 12 hours yesterday talking about Bo the white house dog, you really can’t use 10 mins of that to talk about something else.
I mean, if you were at the protest and turned around this is what you saw.
And if you turned about 30 more degrees to the left, this is all of the major news organizations cameras. They can see it without moving off the tripod, and still no coverage.
One day I would like to be in front of the Treasury. I think that is the first thing I do if I ever do a hostile take over of the government. Topple this dude, and replace him with myself. Seemed to work well when we did it in Iraq.
Am I the only one who loves columns.
And a tiled facade.
I am pretty sure, as was the 100’s of preteen girls walking around the white house, that this was Malia and Sasha returning from school. I was pretty excited that in the 10 mins it had taken me to walk about 200 degrees around the white house I had managed to catch a “motorcade”.
And then 2 minutes later they started closing down streets and you could hear sirens blaring and speeding towards us, and it was a real motorcade.
I am pretty sure this dude was white, but it was hard to tell. He was waving out the right side, and I was on the left. It might have been my man.
I of course love the support staff.
This SUV has some sort of antenna on top. I am not sure if it is for jamming or ensuring they aren’t jammed, but these dudes looked serious.
This pedestal is dedicated to the farmers who gave up their land so the capital could be built. I wonder what it felt like to be asked to give up your land, so the capital of a new country could be built.
The American Red Cross building.
The front of our venue.
And yes, I know that I probably have used that saying for the title of about 10 blog posts.
