the best chapters

Good Morning…

So I somehow I had forgotten that I had Jury duty.  I only remembered because Nate sent a twitter saying that he had Jury Duty and that made me remember I had Jury Duty too.  How the hell did Nate and I get Jury Duty on the same day.  CRAZY.  So we get down there, and just sit in this big room.  Where this lady says names and if you hear your name, you are on a panel of possible jurors.  I am not sure why they don’t use these screens to just show the names, but oh well.

This was my juror number for the first panel I was on.  I couldn’t do it since i was leaving on tour in 2 days.

I ended up getting on two other panels.  The final one I was selected for.  It was a short trial, testimony and arguments started on Thursday.  They wrapped up Thursday.  We begin deliberation, something I thought would take a second, since we should all be on the same page, only to find out I was the only one who had any doubts about the defendants guilt.  And then we were told there was a mistrail and we could all go home.  Little bit disappointing, but it was fun.  I can’t wait to get it again.
