Jammy Jam 2012

With the end of the world coming, it is time to party.  House is getting ready, hope DJ Waffle makes an appearance again, well I am sure he will.

Bacon is ready, she has tried to kill all her toys in anticipation.

I wonder if the guest author of this Giraffe Joke will be showing up.

He always has great PJs.

Look Kids…

Good Morning…

My parent’s got me a great framed picture of Big Ben for Christmas.  I 100% thought that was what this was. It did not cross my mind that maybe it was a frame, and the photo of Big Ben was just the stock photo included.

Clean Sweep

Spent the day, like the whole day, cleaning up my dad’s garage with him and my brother. The goal was to make it so my mom could park easier in the garage. Mission Accomplished!

This recipe is from my dad’s boss, and I think I am going to try making this today. Sounds delicious.

Tequila cake recipe
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 cup water
1 tsp. salt
1 cup brown sugar
Lemon juice
4 large eggs
Nuts
1 bottle tequila
2 cups dried fruit

Sample the tequila to check quality. Take a large bowl; check the tequila again to be sure it is of the highest quality. Repeat. Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl.

Add 1 teaspoon of sugar. Beat again. At this point, it is best to make sure the tequila is still OK. Try another cup just in case.

Turn off the mixerer thingy. Break 2 eegs and add to the bowl and chuck iin the cup of dried fruit. Pick the fruit up off the floor.

Mix on the turner. If the fried druit getas stuck in the beaterers, just pry it loose with a drewscriver. Sample the tequila to test for tonsisticity.
Next, sift 2 cups of salt, or something. Check the tequila.

Now shift the lemon ice strain your nuts. Add one table. Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find. Greash the oven.

Turn the cake tin 360 s and try not to fall over. Don’t forget to beat off the turner. Finally, throw the bowl through the window. Finish the tequila and wipe the counter with the cat.

White Christmas

Good Morning…

I am still getting used to our new schedule. Amanda has started her new job, which she loves, but needs to be at work at 8am now. Bacon and I are getting up early with her, but have not been able to go for our morning walk at 6:00am yet. Maybe when it starts warming up a little. We did get a beautiful sunrise as we drove south on I-5 after dropping Amanda off at work.

Last night we put on the christmas songs that friends have made. We had the new Cold War Kids song, they released on their site yesterday and of course Corey’s Christmas Classics Volume 2. I am making it my mission to get Volume 3 ready to be a live show next year. If you are looking for a good holiday party entertainment, let me know.

Amanda and I, and kind of Bacon decorated our little tree.

We have an entire second set of decorations, that I think we might need to get a second tree for.  It is a white and gold theme, and you know how much I like white and gold.

This is the first year after Amanda and I were married. The tree was in the front corner of the living room. It is also kind of amazing to see the changes that the house has gone thru. Little Pink Houses is making its way in the world today.

Bacon is enjoying the new tree. She doesn’t like sitting right in front of it. She slipped on the newly finished floors right here, and still thinks that something is wrong with the floor in this spot.

You can’t under-estimate his likeablilty

Good Morning…

Watching the morning news they are talking, 1 year out mind you, about how President Obama stacks up in polls against Republican candidates. Made me think of this photo, that I am sure I have put up here more than once.

Looking good Mr. President. I do wish he would have been able to get more done up to this point. And I think that he has agreed to some fucked up shit, but I still, looking good Mr. President. While looking for this photo I found a great website from the last election. ” Democratic source for accurate information…” That is a mouthful.

The last post on this blog was from the end of last year. It was a little note of encouragement to Hillary Clinton, about how excited the blog was that in 2 years she would dethrone TurdO / HusseinO, which are what they call PUSA. One of his crimes, hanging out with The Cool Kids. I have hung out with The Cool Kids, and if you get to, you should. Those dudes are great.

I got a little early Christmas present. Well you can all get it, head over to ColdWarKids.com to download Where Would we be Without Christmas (Gzus was no son of a bitch). Something about that title really cracks me up.

Bacon and I listened to it on the way to the closest dog park. It is right on the north end of Beacon Hill. It is not very good. Kind of just a muddy and rocky mess. Bacon is more into swimming, but she had an ok time with this little beagle puppy.
