Starting early

Good Morning…

It was great, I got to drop Amanda off at the work. That happens a lot. But today, she was excited, she started her new job today. I am happy that she is excited about going to work, and that she gets to work on some amazing research.

Big ups to Mr. Pirone, who had a 27″ monitor in his basement, and let Amanda have it for her new office. He has also not been updating his podcast very often.

In other EXCITING, not really, news, I now have a Facebook Timeline. I am not sure what the difference really is, but they are excited about it over in Facebook land.

I like that in the photo above, you can see Kerri talking shit about M.I.A. It is a fun past time.

I realized today, that I better start getting ready for the bike rides coming up. I am looking around online for a good beginners training schedule, to get someone ready to ride. Hopefully I will be in good enough shape soon to go on weekend rides with Nate, who must be riding a lot, since he also is not updating his blog.

Last year’s Chilly Hilly was a pain in the ass, I can’t imagine how hard the STP would have been if I hadn’t been on tour. By the end, that smiling face was GONE!

Blog Notes / Morning Poker

Good Morning…

So I think I have the basic layout for the mail section of the blog, as well as the single page/posts to look like I want them to.

Still working on the navigation on the bottom.

I think the footer is close to what I want.

Header needs some work, not sure what I want to do with it, but thinking of putting some sort of rotating image up there.

Also having an issue where sometimes the line under the date to the left of the post and the line under the post title don’t always line up. Sometimes it does, sometime it doesn’t. I have found that often I am 1 pixel off doing stuff in this css world.

No flashback post today, since the day I started this blog I have never posted to it on December 18.

Took the bus to downtown today, to walk up to meet Derek. Speaking of Derek, I wish he still was doing his food blog. I need new places to eat.

Speaking of Bonks, maybe head over and check out Kerri’s blog. She doesn’t seem to have been doing it much lately, maybe she needs some traffic to encourage her.

Went and played poker this morning with Derek.

Then burritos at Guaymos on Broadway. Haven’t been there in a while.

I love the carrots and onions!

Oh, and you know what Oregon Mist is right?

trying some themes

i am trying to find a theme i like.

i enjoy the footer i have built, but really need to get back to work on the theme, if I am going to be posting more over here. it is clunky and I am not a fan of it, so today, i will be trying some different ones.

 

we will find something.

 

I think I am getting close to something that I am happy with.  Background needs some work. Header needs some work. I am not happy with how different the single post / pages look.  Will keep working on it.  But LOOK at all those posts!

 

Oh, and I got the thing I really wanted to work to work, the little place / weather section under the date on the post.  That was a huge thing that i wanted to get done.  Very happy with it.

Blast from the past.

I have been doing this blog for a long time. And while you are supposed to start stuff at the begining of the new year, I am getting a little bit of an early start.  Little bit of what the blog looked like over the years.

From 4 years ago, when i was in Nottingham with MIA. The whole post is available still, but here are some highlights.

That is right, Robin Hood. We decided to pickpocket the thief.

Then we went to a pub for a drink. I broke my pub rule for this one.

Then I found a nice present in my room, now not another gross bed, but a nice bottle of champagne.

Work smarter not harder.
